Fitness Classes
Spring 2025 registration opens on Thursday, November 28.
Fitness classes start the week of January 13.
Sure, the legendary VIU steps and stairs keep you moving, but our friendly fitness classes give you a targeted way to get healthy and feel great!
Our weekly one-hour fitness classes take place on the Nanaimo campus at the VIU Gymnasium (Building 190) and run throughout the semester.
Rates are discounted for VIU students and there are options for all skill and fitness levels. Please read the class descriptions below and follow the links to register.
CareerVIU
Mondays or Thursdays - 5:00 p.m.
This class is designed to improve range of motion using different exercises and stretches. Participants will learn Self Myofascia release to help release tension from the body and improve body function. We will be using foam roller, balls and yoga straps.
