Kyle Boyd
Kyle completed his co-op doing web development in the programming department at Real Estate Webmasters in Nanaimo, B.C. Real Estate Webmasters is the world's largest provider of custom web development and technology solutions in the real estate industry.
Kyle was responsible for working directly with clients to achieve success with their online presence and create tools for their business needs. He managed multiple projects at once with tight deadlines, which exposed him to a large assortment of projects solving real world problems. “Exposure to a growing company where I was able to work on a variety of projects that I enjoyed was amazing”. Kyle also had the opportunity to work on a team with other developers and designers. This allowed him to apply and further develop his collaboration and communication skills learned during group projects at VIU.
Kyle continues to work at Real Estate Webmasters in the Product Development department. He is currently focusing on mobile development, specifically, for the Android operating system. “The co-op program made a significant impact on my career. The work experience and confidence I gained throughout the process is invaluable and has opened many doors for me.”
