Serves as a connection between the BSA and students living on campus residence. This role works to find innovative ways to increase the overall student engagement from students living on residence.
Position Requirements
The Business Students’ Association at Vancouver Island University is dedicated to providing business students with opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom, in order to develop a network of professional, passionate, and community-focused leaders who are not afraid to continually incorporate the art of fun.
The Residence Engagement Director serves as a connection between the BSA and students who are living on campus residence. This role will find innovative ways to increase the overall student engagement from students living on residence. In addition, responsibilities included bringing awareness about the BSA to the student residence community through posters/ BSA booths or other ideas deemed fit to attract positive attention to the Association. Further, communicating with the Residence Advisors and the Student Residence Coordinators, supporting VP External in organizing events for the student residence community, and collaborating with other campus clubs to increase student engagement were included in responsibilities. Lastly, working alongside the VP of External to facilitate a sense of community among residence students with an estimated weekly time commitment of 3 hours/ week.
