Position Overview
The Business Students’ Association at Vancouver Island University is dedicated to providing business students with opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom in order to develop a network of professional, passionate, and community-focused leaders who are not afraid to continually incorporate the art of fun.
As the coordinator of all the community related events presented by the BSA, responsibilities include leading charity programs that provide impact both locally and globally. This role develops more opportunities for students including volunteering in the community and implementing new ideas to further expand the student experience. Responsibilities regarding event coordination include managing the overall charity event process and being responsible for professionally representing the BSA to students, faculty, and the local community. In addition, the Community Outreach Director is responsible for coordinating with local companies and charities for volunteer opportunities, providing students with an opportunity to become more involved in the community, and develop new event concepts to help with charity programs. They will work alongside as well as reported event progress to the Vice President of Events.
Position Requirements
Minimum time commitment for this position is three hours a week.
